Prostate cancer is one of the most diagnosed cancers in men in Australia. Australia boasts world class cancer treatments, and technical and scientific developments in the fight with cancer, thereby reducing the impact on men.
If this is you, we are here to support you. “A problem shared is a problem halved”. Simply discussing with others facing similar issues and those having completed diagnosis and treatments can greatly reduce many of the fears associated with, and the anxiety created by, a prostate cancer diagnosis.
We’re a volunteer-driven group dedicated to improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer. Together with local partners and caring individuals, we provide guidance, connection, and hope to those on their cancer journey.
Together, we provide hope, understanding, and practical support for those affected by prostate cancer. Our strength lies in the people who give their time, share their experiences, and help others face their journey with confidence and compassion.
For over two decades, the Hunter Prostate Cancer Awareness & Support Group has been a trusted source of strength, guidance, and understanding for men and their families.
Our mission goes beyond meetings — it’s about bringing people together, raising awareness, and encouraging early detection. No one should face prostate cancer alone.
