Hunter Prostate Cancer awareness & Support Group

Supporting men and families across the Hunter for over 25 years.

Driven by community, compassion, and hope.

Facing Fear Together

Prostate cancer is one of the most diagnosed cancers in men in Australia. Australia boasts world class cancer treatments, and technical and scientific developments in the fight with cancer, thereby reducing the impact on men.

The greatest problem is fear:-

– Fear of detection

– Fear of treatment decisions

– Fear of medical procedures

– Fear of physical loss

– Fear of side effects

If this is you, we are here to support you. “A problem shared is a problem halved”. Simply discussing with others facing similar issues and those having completed diagnosis and treatments can greatly reduce many of the fears associated with, and the anxiety created by, a prostate cancer diagnosis.
